About this Blog

This blog was created to give advance warning about shows in Missouri by artists that arn't your typical run of the mill musicians you would expect in this state. Indie music is my passion and is an important part of music today and with the wealth of information on the internet, I feel it inadequate to not be aware of this scene and the constantly imerging artists updating the definition of what music is today.

Fort Hood

The massacre at Fort Hood happened on November 5, 2009. Major Nidal Malik Hasan was coming out of a process center whenever he started shooting his gun at anybody for no reason. Within seven minutes, Hasan had killed 13 people, and wounded 38 others. Heroic Sgt. Kim Munley has risked her life to stop the shooter by charging at him.
The Army took immediate action; every military camp near Fort Hood was put on urgent lockdown. Scared soldiers didn’t know what to think, for some of the soldiers their wounds were worse just knowing that they were from a fellow soldier.
According to People magazine, Hasan was an Army doctor trained as a psychiatrist. He tried to convert fellow soldiers, who were coming home from Afghanistan or Iraq with post-traumatic stress disorder, to Islam. Fellow colleagues said, “Right from the get-go we knew this guy was bad news. Opinion was divided: Either he was incompetent oaf who somehow got pushed through the system, or he was a lunatic.” Hasan was obsessed with suicide bombers and showed much interest and even praised their glorious actions.

About Me

My photo
Music is almost everything to me and at this point I have so much music in my life that I feel greedy not sharing it, and lonely in that not many people around me are aware of any of my favorite artists. So if you come by and enjoy what you hear, drop a comment...
