Upcoming Shows in St. Louis, MO
About this Blog
This blog was created to give advance warning about shows in Missouri by artists that arn't your typical run of the mill musicians you would expect in this state. Indie music is my passion and is an important part of music today and with the wealth of information on the internet, I feel it inadequate to not be aware of this scene and the constantly imerging artists updating the definition of what music is today.

Notable Upcoming Concerts
This years selection of indie music visiting Missouri has been lacking compared to previous years that featured acts like Animal Collective, TV on the Radio, Dan Deacon, and at least a few visits by Of Montreal. Even Sufjan Stevens owes a visit to this rural neck of the woods styled state he loves to write about. Still, these upcoming shows and a few visits by the energetic Ratatat to the Blue Note in Columbia and Off Broadways low key visit by Casiotone for the Painfully Alone make 2009's live music in Missouri scene not to lacking. Oh, and if you missed Brooklyners Matt and Kim and Austrailian giants Cut Copy in March, it was your loss. At least there's that Bacardi add to tide you over for their next visit...

MC201 Exercise
Mathew Brady is the chief source of the images we have of the American Civil War, and according to a local historian, he is the chief source of the way in which we look at ourselves.
The citizens of Ticonderoga County will have a marvelous chance to take a look into that mirror beginning today with a major exhibit of Brady photographs. The reason we remember Brady, Sloan said, is because of the studio photos of nearly every famous person of the day.

About Me

- Music is almost everything to me and at this point I have so much music in my life that I feel greedy not sharing it, and lonely in that not many people around me are aware of any of my favorite artists. So if you come by and enjoy what you hear, drop a comment...
